Wholesale PricingThe Ansul 031809 is a 16-inch stainless steel braided actuation hose with 7/16-20 swivel fittings on both ends, designed to provide a flexible connection in the actuation line between the AUTOMAN release mechanism and each regulated actuator on an agent storage tank. It is used in the Ansul R-102, Kitchen Knight II, Inergen, High-Pressure CO2, and Monarch suppression systems. The pre-made fixed length and the matching 7/16-20 thread profile on both ends allow it to drop directly into any connection point in the actuation network that accepts those fittings.
The purpose of the flexible hose is to absorb minor misalignment between rigid actuation piping or compression tees and the actuator port on the agent tank, and to prevent rigid connections from transmitting vibration-induced stress to the actuator fitting over time. Rigid copper or steel piping carries the actuation pressure to points throughout the suppression cabinet, and the braided hose bridges the final connection to each agent tank's actuator without requiring the rigid piping to be perfectly aligned with the tank fitting. Ansul's actuation hose family includes the 16-inch 031809 as well as 20-inch (032335) and 24-inch (032336) lengths to suit different cabinet layouts.

Is this hose interchangeable with the Amerex KP actuation hose?
No. The Amerex KP system uses its own actuation hose (P/N 12854 at 16 inches or P/N 16448 at 32 inches) with 1/4-inch fittings that are not compatible with the Ansul 7/16-20 thread profile. These are completely separate systems and their components are not interchangeable.
Can I use a longer hose if the 16-inch does not reach?
Ansul offers this hose in 20-inch (032335) and 24-inch (032336) lengths. Select the length that provides a proper connection without excess slack or tension. The certified Ansul distributor confirms the correct hose length for each actuator connection during system installation or service.
