Wholesale PricingThe Kidde FA110G is a 2.5 lb ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher designed for immediate response to common household and office fires. This compact, disposable unit provides defense against ordinary combustibles, flammable liquids, and energized electrical equipment, and its light weight makes it easy to keep on hand and ready to grab in kitchens, garages, and utility rooms.
The unit is built with a seamless aluminum cylinder, a metal valve assembly, and a rust- and impact-resistant nylon handle. An integrated pressure gauge offers at-a-glance verification that the unit is charged, and the safety pin pulls easily to support fast deployment. This is a non-rechargeable, single-use extinguisher. Once discharged, or if the gauge ever falls out of the green zone, the entire unit must be replaced rather than serviced or refilled.
Multipurpose ABC Suppression
The FA110G uses a monoammonium phosphate dry chemical agent to address the three most common fire classes found in homes and offices:
- Class A (Ordinary Combustibles): The agent sinters under heat to form a crust over wood, paper, and trash fires, sealing the fuel surface and helping prevent re-ignition after initial knockdown.
- Class B (Flammable Liquids): The agent interrupts the chemical chain reaction in the flame zone, providing rapid knockdown on fuel, solvent, and oil fires.
- Class C (Electrical Equipment): The non-conductive agent allows safe use on energized outlets, panels, and small appliances without risk of electrical shock to the operator.
Built for Ready Storage
- Corrosion-Resistant Aluminum Cylinder: The seamless aluminum tank resists corrosion in the humid conditions common to kitchens, garages, and utility rooms.
- Clear Graphic Instructions: The label uses graphics to walk a first-time user through the PASS method during an emergency, when there is no time to read dense text.
- Included Mounting Bracket: A UL approved plastic strap bracket is included for securing the unit to a wall or inside a cabinet, helping keep it in a known, accessible location.
The FA110G is sized and priced for everyday household and small office fire protection:
- Kitchens: General-purpose protection for trash, electrical, and small ordinary combustible fires outside the cooking surface itself. It is not a substitute for a Class K extinguisher where deep frying or significant cooking oil hazards are present.
- Garages and Utility Rooms: A practical fit for protecting against fuel, solvent, and electrical equipment hazards common in these spaces.
- Home Offices and Small Offices: Compact enough for mounting near electrical equipment and paper storage in a home or small business office.
- Recreational Vehicles and Boats: The compact size and included strap bracket make it a practical option for RVs, campers, and small watercraft.

The FA110G is a non-rechargeable extinguisher, which follows a different NFPA 10 service path than rechargeable units. There is no 6-year internal examination and no 12-year hydrostatic test for this unit type. Instead:
- Monthly Visual Inspection: Verify the pressure gauge is in the green zone, the safety pin and tamper seal are intact, and the unit is visible and accessible in its mounting bracket.
- Out-of-Range Gauge or Any Discharge: If the gauge ever falls out of the green zone, or after any discharge, the unit must be removed from service immediately. Non-rechargeable units cannot be refilled or serviced and must be discharged completely and disposed of or returned to the manufacturer rather than recharged.
- 12-Year Mandatory Replacement: Regardless of gauge reading or apparent condition, this unit must be removed from service and replaced 12 years from its manufacture date, per NFPA 10 requirements for non-rechargeable extinguishers.
- Disposal: Treat a discharged or expired unit as you would other compressed gas or chemical agent canisters. Do not puncture or place in household trash while still pressurized.
Can this extinguisher be recharged after use?
No. The FA110G is a disposable, non-rechargeable unit. Once it has been discharged, even partially, it must be replaced with a new unit rather than refilled or serviced.
How do I know when to replace it if I never use it?
Check the pressure gauge monthly. If it ever falls out of the green zone, replace the unit. Even if the gauge stays in range, NFPA 10 requires non-rechargeable extinguishers to be removed from service and replaced 12 years from the manufacture date stamped on the unit.
Can I use this on a kitchen grease fire?
This unit is suitable for general kitchen hazards like trash, electrical, and small ordinary combustible fires, but it is not rated for Class K cooking oil and grease fires. A dedicated Class K wet chemical extinguisher is the correct tool for deep fryer and significant cooking oil hazards.
