The Amerex IS Screening Nozzle (SCR, P/N 16192) is specifically designed for open-front paint spray booth applications in the Amerex IS Industrial Dry Chemical Fire Suppression System. An open-front booth presents a unique protection challenge: the open face allows flammable vapors to escape but also means the space cannot be fully enclosed for total flood protection. The SCR nozzle addresses this by creating a curtain of dry chemical agent across the open front of the booth during discharge, screening the opening and preventing fire from escaping the booth while the interior is simultaneously suppressed by the work area and plenum nozzles.
