- Corrosion from kitchen environment. Commercial kitchen environments are hard on electrical components. - Routine replacement during system service. Some service companies replace the relay as a standard part of a full system recharge and inspection, particularly on systems with high discharge history or where the relay is approaching the age range where failure rates increase.
